I am an artist and teacher based in Cleveland, Ohio.
I have been making pictures in Cleveland ever since I can remember, at least 25 years. My studio found its forever home in 2017 at the Hildebrandt Artist Collective (on IG @hildebrandtartistcollective).
Many of my pictures tell stories about things we cannot see with our eyes. These stories are expressed through a combination of drawing, painting, and photography. Magnetic fields, ancestor stories and interior anatomy currently inspire. My visual language includes wild abstraction, seductive texture, and playful collage. The pictures find their way into murals, books, album covers and frames for the wall.
I earned my BFA from Cleveland Institute of Art, and MFA from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, focusing on public and collaborative art.
As an educator with the Cleveland Print Room, I am artist-in-residence at two schools in the Cleveland Municipal School District. Collaboration is key, as public art and publications are made with young artists in beautiful Cleveland, Ohio.
